L-glutamine is an essential amino acid that is an important source of energy in cell culture media and is indispensable for cell growth. Since normal L-glutamine is temperature sensitive and spontaneously decomposes to toxic ammonia in the course of cell cultivation, the stable ROTI®Cell Glutamine Solution is an optimal alternative.Stable glutamine is present as the dipeptide L-alanyl-L-glutamine. Due to its reinforced structure, this form of glutamine is not temperature sensitive, unlike normal L-glutamine. Cells are able to break down this dipeptide bond and release L-glutamine as needed. Thus, the low ammonia concentration improves cell viability and growth. In addition, the concentration of L-glutamine is kept constant.ROTI®Cell Glutamine Solution can be stored at room temperature for a long period of time.
