ROTI®Fect is a liposome-based transfection reagent consisting of a mixture of polycationic and neutral lipids. Compared to monocationic lipid formulations, ROTI®Fect has a higher efficiency with lower levels being required. Its excellent reproducibility in combination with its high level of efficiency reduced optimisation work to a minimum. Because of its low toxicity, a wide range of cell lines can be transfected efficiently.An efficient triple-cotransfection using ROTI®Fect is described in Ufartes, Schlüter, Kaulfuss and Seipp (2005) Biospektrum 4: 464-5.
